I enjoyed every bit of Marc Pastor’s latest book “L’any de la plaga” (Catalan for “The year of the plague”) but didn’t quite like the book cover. Here’s my attempt to redesign it with a minimal twist.
Synopsis:

Victor Negro is a social worker who coordinates the care of senior citizens with limited resources. A few months ago his girlfriend left him and still has not gotten over it.
This August, he’s forced to stay in Barcelona where an unusual series of events will begin to divert his attention from his personal dramas. Some senior citizens under his care start behaving in a strange way; some say that their partners have changed personality, others have attempted suicide (some with success). After summer, nothing will be as it was before.
A novel that contains science fiction, horror, mystery, disasters and a beautiful love story.
